Is windscreen PPF the same as paint protection film or tint?
Windscreen PPF is a common name for dedicated windscreen protection film. It is designed for exterior glass and must be suitable for use with wipers and the driver’s view. It is different from ordinary bodywork PPF, privacy tint and chameleon tint. We confirm the exact product for your car.
Will it stop every stone chip or repair existing damage?
No film can guarantee protection against every impact. This film adds a sacrificial protective layer; it cannot repair chipped or cracked glass. Tell us about existing damage before booking. The heat-assisted scratch recovery shown in the demonstration concerns surface marks in the film, not damage to the windscreen.
Can it be fitted to my car, including a heated windscreen or head-up display?
Send your make, model and year, and tell us about a head-up display, heated glass or windscreen-mounted cameras and sensors. We check compatibility with your glass and the selected film before agreeing the installation. Compatibility is not assumed for every vehicle.
What about visibility and road use?
The driver’s view must remain clear. Suitability depends on the film and glass together, including optical clarity and light transmission. We assess the proposed installation and do not promise a universal MOT pass. If the film becomes scratched, hazy or damaged, have it checked promptly and replaced or removed if necessary.
How do I look after windscreen protection film?
Follow the care instructions supplied with your chosen film. Keep the windscreen and wiper blades clean, avoid running wipers over dry dirt, and use approved cleaning products. Film lifespan depends on use, conditions and care; it is a replaceable protective layer. We confirm maintenance, warranty terms and replacement guidance with your quote.
Can I book windscreen protection on its own?
Yes. Enquire about standalone windscreen protection, or combine it with clear PPF, coloured PPF or headlight protection. Appointments and the complete price are confirmed with the team on WhatsApp before you book.
