How does the Ghost Immobiliser work?↓
The Ghost Immobiliser connects directly to your vehicle's digital CAN-bus network. It does not use keyfobs or emit radio frequency signals (making it completely invisible to thieves using RF scanners or relay amplifiers). To start the engine, you must enter a unique, customizable PIN code sequence using existing factory buttons on your steering wheel, door panels, or centre console.
Can thieves bypass the Ghost Immobiliser with key cloning or OBD hacking?↓
No. Even if a thief clones your key, steals your original key, or plugs into the OBD diagnostic port to program a new key, the engine will physically refuse to start until your unique secret PIN sequence is entered.
Are you a TASSA Approved Ghost Installer?↓
Yes. Obsidian Custom Designs is a fully certified, TASSA-approved installation studio. Upon completion, we register your installation on the central TASSA national database and issue an official insurance certificate for your broker.
What happens when I take my car for servicing or MOT?↓
The Ghost has a built-in Service / Valet Mode. You simply enter a quick button sequence before handing over your vehicle. The car can then be started and driven normally up to a set speed limit without revealing your secret PIN code.
What is the difference between Autowatch Ghost II and Meta Trak S5 Deadlock?↓
The Ghost II immobilises via a steering wheel PIN code sequence with zero monthly subscriptions. Meta Trak S5 Deadlock combines Thatcham S5 live GPS tracking with automatic driver recognition tags and remote smartphone app deadlock commands. We install both standalone and dual-combo systems.
Will Ghost Immobiliser installation void my manufacturer warranty?↓
No. The Ghost connects seamlessly to the CAN-bus data wires without cutting factory wiring harnesses, preserving your vehicle's warranty integrity and factory electronics.
How long does Ghost Immobiliser installation take?↓
Installation typically takes 2 to 3 hours in our secure Uxbridge studio. We also provide full handover guidance and demonstrate how to change your PIN code.
